xHamster Releases Year-End Data Report, Reveals Top Search Terms

LOS ANGELES — xHamster has released its 2019 year-end data report and once again reveals that the search term “mom” ranked first on its popular tube site, while the top video category internationally was “Japanese” and in the U.S., it was “amateur.”

“We thank our 'moms,' 'stepmoms,' GILFs, MILFs and 'Daddies' for another great year in search,” xHamster VP Alex Hawkins said. “Of course, as we close the decade, what’s most exciting is how much porn consumption has shifted to more realistic, more independently produced content.”

“Viewers want authenticity,” Hawkins added. “Ten years ago, global porn looked relatively monolithic, but as tens of thousands of performers and independent producers have come online, they’ve built up an ever-more-diverse user base.”

Among the report’s findings are that in 2019, the percentage of women watching adult content rose, clocking in at nearly 29 percent, while interest in porn for women rose 30 percent.

The top-searched celebrity for the year was "Baywatch" star Alexandra Daddario, but percentage-wise, the xHamster Rising Star Award goes to former Bond girl Rosamund Pike who, despite turning 40 this year, saw the greatest year-over-year increase in interest of any major star.

“While we know porn data may seem funny and outrageous, it’s one of the few ways we can understand our society’s collective id,” Hawkins concluded. “At a time when there’s so much silence about sex and sexuality, we want to encourage honest, fact-based conversations.”
